Graduation: What You Need to Know

Planning to graduate from CMDI?

Students are eligible for graduation when they have completed all degree requirements.

Regardless of whether you plan to attend our reception, you must apply to graduate via the Buff Portal. Find more information now →

There is no campuswide winter commencement ceremony; you are invited to come back to walk in the spring 2026 events.

CMDI will host an informal reception for December graduates, which will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Friday, Dec. 5 (the last day of class) in the Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE) room E330. Business casual attire is suggested. You do not need to wear graduation regalia (caps and gowns).

December graduates are automatically included in college and university spring ceremony programs following their graduation. If you graduate in December 2025, you will appear in the spring 2026 program.

The date for CMDI's Spring Recognition Ceremony and registration to participate will be announced soon.
