Celebrating CMCI's December 2023 Graduates

We are so honored to confer bachelor's and graduate degrees upon more than 120 CMCI students this December. Congratulations, graduates, and welcome to the Forever Buffs community!

We are overjoyed to congratulate you on your accomplishments, and we commend your dedication and fortitude. At the ceremony in May 2023, all December graduates will be formally recognized. For the time being, be sure to tag @cubouldercmci in your graduation celebrations on Instagram, X and Facebook so that we can share your achievement with the CMCI and CU Boulder communities.

Again, congratulations, Buffs. We are so proud of you!

“I’m very grateful for my time at CU and I feel like I’m so dedicated to finding a career I’m incredibly passionate about. I’m super excited to see what happens after graduation,” says William W. White Outstanding Graduate Cassidy Davis.

The William W. White Outstanding Graduate Award is an honor bestowed to the student graduating with the highest GPA in the College of Media, Communication and Information.

Graduation Ceremony Information

While degrees are awarded three times during the year (May, August and December), there is only one formal commencement ceremony, held in May. All graduates are invited to participate in the university's spring commencement ceremony and CMCI's graduation recognition ceremony. The commencement and recognition ceremony programs include previous December graduates, plus those students expected to graduate in May or the upcoming August before the beginning of the new academic year.

Winter Conferral Celebration

CMCI winter graduates: Congratulations! CMCI would like to invite you to a reception this December celebrating you and your peers.

This event is for you, your family and friends to mingle with fellow graduates, faculty and staff while enjoying appetizers and beverages. We will also have photo opportunities for graduates and their guests throughout the afternoon.

Spring Recognition and Commencement

In addition to the campus commencement ceremony, CMCI hosts a recognition ceremony for its graduates. Mark your calendars now: We will honor our graduating students from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at the CU Events Center.
