Equipment checkout
High-end digital devices such as digital cameras, studio lights, laptops and A/V equipment are available to students for short-term loans. Additionally, some studio drafting supplies, such as T-squares, rulers, pencils and markers, glue, and more are available for checkout.
Photo studio
Our professional photo studio is set up with a standard 3-strobe tabletop system and a DSLR with tethered shooting on an iMac computer and Lightroom. Students can make reservations for a 15-minute studio session (sessions can be reserved for up to 2 hours).
One-on-one software help
To help students practice new skills with computer-aided design (CAD) software, the DMC Peer Tutoring Program matches DMC student staff with students for one-on-one tutoring sessions based on their skills and what specific areas students are seeking support. Sessions are free to ENVD students and can be reserved by using our Peer Tutoring Reservation Form.
Large-format printing
Students can submit files for printing, from letter size up to 36 in x 48 in posters. The center houses two HP large-format plotters and one Epson premium photo printer.
Scanning
Large and small-format scanners are available, open to students to use on their own. Staff will provide guidance with settings and can show first-time users how to position paper and run the scanners.
Along with the Creative Labs Center, the DMC offers 3D printing services for quick prototyping. The DMC houses a range of fused filament 3D printers that can accommodate sizes up to 280 mm x 280 mm x 250 mm (11 in x 11 in x 9.8 in). Guides and templates for setting up files are available on the Creative Labs Canvas Course.
