Climate Change and the Arts & Humanities New!

The projects need to include/focus on (1) climate change (2) arts/humanities (3) an aspect that has a public component—performance, website, symposium, workshop, art installation, film screening, etc…you dream it/conceive it, and we’ll try to fund it.

CHA Small Grants

The Center for Humanities & the Arts Small Grant provides up to $3,000 in support of the research and creative efforts of CU Boulder faculty to deepen and enrich the range of humanistic and artistic activities on campus.

CHA Faculty Fellowships

The Center for Humanities & the Arts invites all Assistant, Associate, and Professors working in the humanities and the arts on the Boulder campus to apply for the CHA Faculty Fellowship during the  academic year. Fellowships consist of a two-course teaching reduction. The selection committee will consider the intellectual merit of the project, its connection to the arts and humanities, the overall excellence of the applicant’s academic record, and the timeliness of the project in the applicant’s career.

Hazel Barnes Flat

The Hazel Barnes Flat in the heart of London is a gift to scholars in the humanities and arts by Hazel Barnes (1915-2008), the much admired professor of Philosophy at CU-Boulder and founder of the Interdisciplinary Program in the Humanities. Her will stipulates that the flat be made available to faculty and graduate students in the humanities and the arts, and that its operation be entrusted to the Center for Humanities & the Arts and its director.
