Lecturer

Allison Lake earned her MA in Curriculum and Instruction with endorsements in Linguistically Diverse Education, specifically Bilingual and English as a Second Language.  She also holds a Colorado Professional Teaching License and a Graduate Certificate in Theology.  Her areas of interest include service learning, community engagement and writing.  Allison is a member of and presenter at CoTESOL and EnglishUSA.  Prior to entering the field of education, Allison received her BA in Environmental Conservation at CU Boulder. This led her to volunteer with the Peace Corps in Thailand. Additionally, she has studied and worked in Spain, Bolivia and Guatemala.  Having grown up in the mountains of Colorado, Allison loves the natural world. Backpacking, rafting, and skiing are a few of her outdoor passions. She also enjoys soccer and time with her two kids and cat.
