Katie Schroder

Katie Schroder is a partner at Davis Graham in Denver, Colorado. Her practice focuses on uses of federally owned land and, particularly, energy development on federal lands. Katie counsels clients on agency compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and Federal Land Policy and Management Act. She has extensive experience with the Endangered Species Act and advises on federal oil and gas leasing and royalty issues. Katie has litigated in federal courts across the country and regularly handles administrative appeals before the Interior Board of Land Appeals, Bureau of Land Management, and Office of Natural Resources Revenue, among other agencies. She frequently drafts public comments on proposed rulemakings and proposed changes to federal land use plans.

Outside of private practice, Katie serves on the Board of Directors of Energy Outreach Colorado, a nonprofit dedicated to providing home energy assistance throughout Colorado, and is active with the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law. Prior to entering private practice, Katie was an attorney-advisor with the Office of the Solicitor within the Department of the Interior. Katie is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and holds a B.A. from Rice University.
