The table below indicates which fees have been waived for the summer (Summer 2020) and which have not. The following fees are never charged in summer term: Career Services Fee, Athletic Fee, UGGS Fee, Law Graduate Fee and Law Student Services Fee. Doctoral students (post-comprehensive exam; graduate status D) do not pay the Mental Health Resource Fee, the Recreation Center Expansion Fee and the Student Health Fee. Student fees are not charged for Maymester, Augmester, Session E and Session F.

The A&S (ASSET) Fee of $1.32 per credit hour still applies to all classes taken in the College of Arts and Sciences regardless of a student's major or program of study. It supports development and delivery of instruction in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Summer 2020 tuition will remain the same and can be viewed in Summer Costs or Tuition & Fee Rate Sheets.

Yes This fee was passed by students in 2004 and supports the repayment of debt for five capital construction projects, and need-based financial aid for students. The fee is not based on use of facilities and does not support building operations.

The Student Activity fee is paid by all students in support of a variety of resources and services that continue to be offered remotely. For example, the Rec Center is offering virtual fitness classes, the Center for Student Involvement continues to host virtual events and supports student organizations, the Volunteer Resource Center is serving as the central point of volunteer opportunities and food assistance during this time, and Off Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations and Student Legal Services continue to support students virtually. Other student activity fees cover the maintenance of facilities and debt obligations. Student fees also provide salaries and benefits for student and staff employees who support these services and resources both on campus and remote.

This fee is allocated to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for student-oriented IT services. It helps fund student access to and support for technology beyond basic IT infrastructure and services that foster connection, collaboration, learning and student success. This includes learning management systems, collaboration tools, technology-equipped learning spaces and labs, and Buff Portal allowing for learning and engagement from anywhere in the world.
