The 5.4.7 Arts Center and M.T. Liggett Art Environment in Kiowa County, Kansas has announced an Artist-in-Residence program.
Applications are open from now until June 18, 2023, at 11:59 PM CST.
They encourage applications from all creative workers, regardless of the applicant’s background, focus, or specialty. This program is open to artists and creatives of all disciplines, including but not limited to visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, media arts, musical arts, and multidisciplinary arts.
Applicants are expected to:
- be 18 years of age or older at the time of the residency
- have an interest in working in a rural context and community
- show a willingness to work with community members from a diverse range of social, cultural, economic, and political backgrounds
- have the ability to work independently in a remote location
- have a driver’s license and working vehicle (due to location and lack of access to public transportation
