  • Graduate Student - PhD

I am a 1st year PhD student in applied mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. I completed my Bachelor of Science in mathematics at Truman State University, Kirksville, Missouri. Then, under the advisement of Dr. Sam Walsh, I completed a Master of Science in applied mathematics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. My thesis revamped an older proof of the existence of doubly periodic symmetric diamond waves using newer machinery.

Previous experiences include research positions or internships at The Boeing Company (Phantom Works), Washington University in St. Louis, MIT, and NASA Ames Research Center. Most recently, I spent a summer with the National Park Service at Lake Clark National Park in remote Alaska. In my free time, I read, play any sport I can, tinker with my 30-year-old car, and enjoy good television.
