Grant Baker

Grant is a second-year undergraduate Applied Mathematics student, who has been working in the lab since Spring 2017. His current research is focused on modeling and measuring shallow water waves and associated phenomena such as dispersive shock waves. His research in the past includes numerical solutions of differential equations in the complex plane and an investigation of the Chazy equation. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding on fresh snow, hiking to beautiful places, playing chess, and writing code for personal projects.
