Shared Services within Academic Affairs are committed to providing guidance, assistance and resources to the units within Academic Affairs that empower them to successfully execute and achieve their missions, strategic initiatives and goals.

Shared Services Goals

1. Continuously improve customer service to unit leaders and their staff, allowing them to focus effort on their areas of responsibility and core mission activities.
2. Reduce and streamline duplication of services and consolidate unit-based administrative tasks into a centralized expertise.
3. Create efficiencies by allowing employees to specialize in a specific tactical area or discipline instead of partially supporting a variety of functions.
4. Provide a highly skilled and trained knowledge base for guidance on policies, processes and procedures.
5. Deliver a team that employees can learn from, rely on, and fill in for, so that continuity of operations is maintained and employees have professional development opportunities.
6. Enable savings at all levels, so that unit-level and campus-level resources can be used as strategically as possible and serve as an example on how to utilize shared administrative services.
