College of Arts and Sciences Dean Search
The dean of the College of Arts and Sciences is the college's lead academic and administrative leader, responsible for advancing its academic mission, supporting excellence in teaching, research and creative work, and fostering student, faculty and staff success. Working collaboratively with campus and community partners, the dean serves as the principal advocate for the college and helps shape its future through strategic leadership, resource stewardship and external engagement.
Call for the search advisory committee nominations
Provost Ann Stevens invites students, faculty and staff to nominate a colleague, a student, or themselves for service on the search advisory committee by completing this form by Friday, Sept. 11.
Broad representation from across the college and university will be essential as we identify the leadership qualities and experiences needed in the college's next dean. The committee will play a number of important roles in our search process, including continuing to gather information on desired qualities of candidates, interviewing the candidates, and making recommendations to me about who should come to campus as finalists.
To protect the confidentiality of candidates and help form a robust and strong candidate pool, the committee will not be able to share details on individual candidates and will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
