USING CLICKERS WISELY
Michael Dubson, Professor of Physics
Clickers are handheld electronic devices that many faculty use to solicit feedback from students during lectures. The professor asks a question, which each student answers with a clicker, allowing instantaneous and anonymous responses. Although not magical, clickers promote good pedagogy. They do not, however, guarantee it. Like knives, this powerful technology can be used well or badly. Professor Dubson will demonstrate some good and bad uses of clickers, employing the new radio frequency i-Clickers.
