Find Your Path in STEM

Did you know you get paid a livable wage while you earn your PhD in STEM? Finances are a crucial factor in decisions about school and yet, many undergrads—especially those of underrepresented background—don't know this information.

Applying to graduate school is a process that begins at least in your second year of undergrad, however, no one tells you that until your third or fourth year of undergrad. How can you be prepared for graduate school applications or even make informed decisions about your future in STEM without all of the pertinent information? While you meet with academic advisors regularly, it's hard to know what questions to ask. The best place to go for answers is the graduate student community here at CU. STEM Routes works to bridge the gap between graduate and undergraduate students to help students like you be informed about their future career. STEM Routes offers a trusting community of grad mentors dedicated to helping you navigate your path to graduate school, with a healthy dash of social events, you'll have questions answered that you didn't even know to ask. Join our mentorship program and be more prepared than ever for your future career in STEM!

Join the Mentorship Program

As a mentee, you'll be placed in a cohort with 3–5 undergraduate students and 1–2 graduate mentors all sharing a similar research area. You'll be expected to meet with your cohort for 1 hour each month to discuss obstacles and opportunities and build community. While not required, you are encouraged to attend STEM Routes workshops and keep in touch with your grad mentors in order to be best prepared for your career in STEM.
