The University of Colorado Boulder and Sommers-Bausch Observatory is committed to providing equal access to individuals with disabilities.  If you are planning to visit SBO and require accommodations, please contact our Observatory Manager or adacoordinator@colorado.edu no later than 7 days before.  We will make all reasonable efforts to fulfill requests submitted after the deadline.

The observing deck is ADA accessible. An elevator is available to bypass the short flight of stairs to the observing deck.

State-issued accessible permit holders may park in the acessible parking spaces in lot 423 on the east side of the SLHS (Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences) building, about 150 feet east of SBO. There are sidewalk ramps between the parking spaces and the observatory.

Please be aware that in most cases, depending upon the telescope's pointing orientation, standing on a short ladder to reach the eyepieces will be necessary.

A fully ADA-compliant restroom is available on the main level of the observatory at the north end of the hallway.
