The Department of Religious Studies is excited to announce two scholarship opportunities for undergraduates:

The K.A. Nuzum Scholarship in the Department of Religious Studies is awarded to an outstanding major in Religious Studies who meets the following criteria:

  1. enrolled full-time as an undergraduate major in Religious Studies
  2. demonstrates a strong academic record
  3. demonstrates a commitment to the Department of Religious Studies, and
  4. demonstrates a passion for public service, scholarship in the public good, or other evidence of civic engagement.

In order to apply, students should submit the CU Boulder Scholarship Application and complete the supplemental questions included with the application. The Nuzum Scholar will receive a $1,000 award in the Fall 2019 semester and must remain enrolled full-time throughout the academic year to serve as an ambassador for the department. 

The Undergraduate Mentorship Scholarship in the Department of Religious Studies is awarded to majors interested in exploring career opportunities available to those with a degree in Religious Studies. Successful candidates will meet with faculty, alums, and local leaders from a variety of professional fields, including business, technology, medicine, the nonprofit sector, government, and law. All interested Religious Studies majors enrolled full-time are invited to apply by submitting the CU Boulder Scholarship Application and completing the supplemental questions included with the application. The scholarship will be awarded in the Spring 2019 semester.
