This month we welcome the new Director of Recreation Services, Anthony “Tony” Price.
Tony, a CU alumnus, comes to this role with 19 years’ experience in campus recreation leadership. In his previous position as Director of Campus Recreation at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Tony oversaw the recreation services and programs of a tri-institutional campus comprised of MSU, Community College of Denver and University of Colorado Denver. Tony’s career highlights include strategic planning, capital improvement and facility renovation projects, and department rebranding. Tony has been very active in the MSU and Denver community with involvement in programs such as the I Have a Dream Foundation, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation as well as serving as a faculty/staff advisor for the Black Student Alliance.
Tony earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing with an emphasis in Business Administration from CU Boulder and his Master of Arts Degree in Athletic Administration with an emphasis in Sport and Leisure Management from the University of Iowa
Outside of work, some of Tony’s interests include skiing, basketball, and hiking.
