Nope. For many people, it's really easy to get around Boulder (and campus) without a car. University of Colorado Boulder’s campus is centrally located, with access to transit, bike paths and the most walkable neighborhoods in town. Taking advantage of our location, and implementing programs to enhance commute options for everyone, it is our goal to make getting to and around campus easy and efficient for visitors, students and staff.  Please join in our commitment to environmental sustainability and, when possible, leave your car at home.

Please visit our short term parking and getting around campus webpages for information on pay-to-park and sustainable transportation options.

Tips for commuting without your car

  • Bus - Use RTD's Trip-Planner and/or RTD Park-n-Rides to make busing more feasible, and download the Transit app to get real-time bus info.
  • Carpool - Use cucommute.com by WayToGo to search for a carpool match.
  • Car and bike shares - Use eGo Carshare, Zipcar and Boulder B Cycle to get around town without your car. Memberships are either free or significantly price reduced for CU affiliates.
