Special Events Parking – What You Need to Know

Planning to attend a campus event? Here’s how parking works during special occasions:

  • Parking Services in Charge:
Whenever there’s a special event or campus activity, Parking Services takes the lead in managing parking and traffic flow.
  • Temporary Changes:
Events may temporarily change normal parking routines. This could include street closures, traffic redirection, or being asked to park in a different lot than usual. Look out for signs indicating any temporary restrictions.
  • Accessible Parking:
Accessible parking is always available for campus events. If you need it, you’ll find it.
  • Parking Fees:
If you don’t have a valid permit, a parking fee will apply during events.
  • Follow Instructions:
Please follow the directions of parking and traffic staff. Ignoring them could result in a ticket or even having your vehicle towed.
  • Department Permits:
Permits purchased with university department funds can’t be used for personal parking at events.
  • CU Events Center Parking:
During events at the CU Events Center, nearby lots may be reserved for event use. If you’re a resident student and your usual lot is full, you may be directed to a different area. Please return your vehicle to your assigned lot once the event is over.
