CU Boulder Bike News - April 2021

Earth Day banner with clean environment on left, industrial on right, April 22nd below main text.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be discontinuing the CU Bike newsletter for the remainder of the year...April Fools'! I suppose it's a little late to try and pull off an April Fools joke, but it's not too late to mention that Spring is just around the corner. As the weather continues to brighten up, look out for more opportunities to get outside and enjoy life (e.g., riding your bike!).

April is often referred to as a month of “opening up,” as trees and flowers begin to bloom. And over the past year or so, there has been a lot of discussion about opening up. Things have been unusual and often challenging, but there are still many things to be thankful for. So as we work towards a new normal, find joy in the little things.

In this edition of the CU Bike Newsletter, we celebrate Earth Day, talk about summer bike storage, B-Cycle stations, bike tours, and construction. As a reminder, most article titles are hyperlinked, click on them to read more. Dive in!

30th and Colorado Underpass Project

As construction on the 30th & Colorado Underpass Project continues, the intersection will remain open to all modes of transportation. You can find a complete list of anticipated traffic impacts on the Boulder Cone Zones website. However, if you would like to avoid the construction area, please refer to the Construction Free Alternative Routes Map (if you travel between East and Main Campus, this map is a great tool to plan your commute).
