Lock Swap 2023

Did you know that the majority of bikes stolen on campus were locked up using either a cable lock or no lock at all. Using a high quality u-lock helps prevent theft. Once again, our CU Boulder bike program is offering a lock swap program. Stop by the UMC Bike Station to trade in your used cable lock for a u-lock. Remember that this is an exchange program, not a giveaway.

Although multi-use paths are a first priority for plowing in Boulder, bike lanes should also be cleared on designated snow plow routes. Boulder will be implementing a variety of construction improvements as a part of the Core Arterial Network (CAN) project . One of those updates is the installation of a new protected bike lane from 30th Street to Foothills Parkway. Provide your feedback by Friday, December 9.

Olde Stage Road Reconstruction

July 18, 2022

Starting July 18, Phase II of the Old Stage Road reconstruction will begin. This phase involves a repaving project and additional drainage improvements. Construction should be completed by the end of October 2022. Expect single lane closures and delays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Because the road will be milled, cycling conditions will not be ideal and alternate routes are advised.
