CU Psychology and Neuroscience Assistant Professor Cinnamon Bidwell (Clinical) and Professor Kent Hutchison (Behavioral Neuroscience) were in the news, getting interviewed for an article in CU Boulder Today about a recent publication regarding the effects of consuming high-concentration marijuana derivatives vs. conventional marjiuana products. Professor Hutchison was also interviewed for an article in Forbes. The research, published in JAMA Psychiatry, showed that while the high-concentration products boosted blood levels of THC much higher than regular products, the impairment as measured by both self report and various psychomotor and cognitive tests was the same.
