Inspired By:
I'm inspired by leaders who take action in their community regardless of the obstacles that are apparent in their environment. One leader who embodies this statement is Malala Yousafzai. She will always be someone I look up to in order to know that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Her unwillingness to keep quiet about the issue of girls' education, knowing that it might threaten her life, is very admirable.
Quote to live by:
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” ― Mahatma Gandhi.

Study Abroad: I will be traveling to Chile/Argentina as part of the Global PLC curriculum.
Research Positions: I am currently working on a civic engagement project for the PUKSTA program. My project is centered around empowering Muslim high school youth and educating them on the resources available to them on college campuses ( prayer rooms, halal food, MSA, etc. ). It will be implemented as a tour/workshop based project where students will recieve information and advice on what being Muslim on a college campus entails from college undergraduates and graduates.
