Visionaries who saw the need to offer a unique experience to students and to pay it forward started PLC in 1972. Their vision continues today in a PLC community that provides financial support to our current students and to our programming. Your contribution has a first-order effect on students either individually or across the PLC program, and stays here at CU Boulder. Any amount makes a positive difference!
Please contact the PLC Director Aaron Roof or PLC’s Director of Development Jason Hanson if you have any questions about the many options to support PLC students financially.
Dane Fisher - Ruyle Family Scholarship
"Winning the Ruyle Family Scholarship made it possible for me to travel to Bhaktapur, Nepal and Nagercoil, India with the Invictus Initiative to support existing and establish new humanitarian projects with local peoples. In Nepal we were able to form a women’s group of seamstresses and raise financial support and provide business acumen to start up a sewing business. In India we were able to connect local build teams with design firms from Colorado to construct a much needed girls' orphanage."
Victoria Acuña - Tim Pestotnik Scholarship
"Before starting this school year, I promised my family I would get enough aid to reach a certain bill amount, in order to convince them that CU is still the right choice. The Tim Pestotnik Scholarship helped me reach an even lower amount. So in addition to fulfilling a promise, I have significantly less financial stress for the rest of the year."
First Year Orientation - PLC Gift Fund
