Tom Carroll, Esq.

  • Associate, Littler Medelson
  • PLC 2001

Degree(s): Political Science, International Affairs

Professional background, interests and expertise: After CU,
I went to law school at NYU School of Law and returned to Denver when I graduated.  My primary practices are employment litigation, employee-benefits litigation, and other litigation.  I was with FaegreBD when I started practicing law. Now, I am a shareholder at Littler Mendelson where practice labor and employment law, mostly on behalf of employers. Outside of work, I am involved in various community organizations, including the Downtown Denver Partnership and the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry. For free time, I'm mostly likely to be skiing, cooking, or goofing around with my wife and daughter. I keep up on politics too.

Hours available for mentoring per month: 5

Best professional advice: There are many different types of lawyers and legal fields, and even law school doesn't do them justice.  Law school is a significant investment and it's not always easy to find a job when you graduate.  So if you are thinking about law school, I encourage you to understand your goals and make sure law school is the right step to reach them.

Mentorship takes many forms and every relationship is different. For me, found it most helpful to connect with people I admire and learn how they made their way in their career and life. I'm happy to share my experience in the same way.
