PLC 2018 • Neuroscience
I am a third-year PLCer and pre-med neuroscience student. I decided to major in neuroscience because I have always been fascinated by the human brain and I knew that studying this would make me a better physician in the future. I'm from Baghdad, Iraq and I moved to the US with my family twelve years ago. PLC has helped me define leadership for myself and look at issues in a critical and solution-seeking manner. I believe that leaders are people who recognize their personal strengths and their responsibility to use them to improve the world. I believe these skills can come from talents that we are born with, the experiences that shape us, or skills that we work to improve intentionally.
