PLC Selection Interviews 2020

PLC seal
Welcome back to PLC!  Whether you help us interview candidates every year, or if this is your first, we are thrilled to have you joining us for our most important event all year. If you have not had a touch point with the program in a while, we invite you to explore other parts of our website to find out the most recent changes and additions to the program, as well as the traditions that we have upheld through our effort for continual progress and excellence. Below are pages you should visit to re-introduce yourself to the program:

  • The PLC Advantage: These are the pillars of the program - what makes us stand out from other programs and what we do best.
  • How We Develop Leadership: These are our six leadership develop competency areas that we have committed to in both our academic and experiential curricula.
  • Courses:Here is a list of our current courses with current course descriptions.
  • Experiential Learning:We still do experiential weekends and Applied Leadership Experiences (walkabouts), but we have added a wilderness component and professional development.
  • PLC Mentor Program:We now have three mentor programs for PLC students. We love connecting students with alumni through thePLC Alumni Mentor page. However, we also have PLC^2 or The PLC Peer Leadership Connection and the mentor program through the Colorado Leadership Alliance.  We connect upperclass PLC students with first-year PLCers to help with the college transition, navigating majors, and building the bonds of the student community.

We are taking the PLC Interview process back out on the road! We will host three days of interviews on campus in the UMC, two days in Denver at the Boettcher Foundation, and two days in Colorado Springs at the El Pomar Penrose House.

We also have the ability to include you in the interview process even if you cannot make it to campus. You can be a remote panelist, review recorded interviews online, and submit reviews and recommendations from wherever you may be. The remote panelist review window will be March 2-11. Please ensure you will have a 2-3 hour window to review applicants within that window before committing to be a panelist.
