Best professional advice: Engineering is one of the few disciplines were undergraduate internships are plentiful (and often paid!). I have seen first-hand the power of engaging in internships during college and the difference they can make it your first 5 years out of school. Because most companies that offer undergrad internships are hiring for potential (and less so, skills), hard work and enthusiasm play a big role in getting your first opportunity. Even if you're not a perfect match for what the job posting lists, go for it.
What does mentorship mean to you? Mentorship has played a key role in my success (and confidence to dream big and succeed) at every stage of my career. I love working with people early in their career to help them land that first opportunity -- whether a summer internship or first full time role!
