Degree(s): Environmental Studies

Professional background, interests and expertise: I studied Environmental Science & Policy at CU before embarking on an internship in the energy industry during my junior year.  That internship became a job after undergrad and I am now entering my 11th year in the energy industry.  In 2012 I went back to school (CU-Denver) while working full-time and earned my Masters of Science degree in Global Energy Management.  I am based out of Houston, TX, and I serve assets in Colorado, Utah, & Wyoming.  My passion is environmental stewardship and my job is to help ensure my company responsibly develops important energy resources while protecting air, water, soil, cultural resources, and wildlife.  Both my parents are professors at CU-Boulder and I was a Second Year CA during my time in PLC.  I am an avid skier and outdoorsman, as well as a musician.  Go Buffs!

Best professional advice:  Mark Twain said "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."  Not all of us know why we were put on
this Earth, but exploring the things you are passionate often reveals ways you can turn your interests into a career.  Try lots of different things, invest in every relationship you create, and stay positive no matter what!

Energy is the lifeblood of developed and developing societies. As energy demand continues to increase with population growth, the confluence of energy production (oil, gas, wind, solar, etc.) and environmental conservation will challenge how we approach economics, politics, human rights, technological innovation, and healthcare.  Balancing these interests will be the key test of our generation's creative problem solving skills.  We need your ingenuity and passion!
