Originally from Baltimore, MD, Aaron Roof graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1997 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and commissioned as an infantry officer. Aaron served in multiple leadership positions in both the infantry and special operations. He lived and served all over the world deploying multiple times to combat operations throughout the Middle East, Levant, Arabian Peninsula and North Africa. In 2014 he transitioned to the University of Colorado Boulder to lead the Army ROTC program. He retired from military service in 2017 with a masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
