The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) is a campus office reporting to the Provost. Its charge is to examine the entire undergraduate student experience, assess outcomes, identify gaps, and launch and support student-facing campus initiatives. Current key projects in UE include a focus on first-year academic programs with the development of First Year Seminars; the coordination of undergraduate academic policies; the development of a coordinated campus advising structure; and the coordination and assessment of campus retention and persistence initiatives, including recommendations for a plan that would facilitate the smoothest transition to a First Year Academic Experience for all first-year undergraduate students.
