2-week workshop offered at the Mountain Research Station. 

12 spots available, with 6 faculty(!), including CU EBIO’s own Jingchun Li and Pat Kociolek

Learn about:

  • Ecology, taxonomy and natural history of algae
  • Culturing algae
  • Generation and analysis of molecular phylogenetics data

Instructors: Drs Jingchun Li, Patrick Kociolek (CU-Boulder), Dr. Sarah Hamsher (Grand Valley State University), Dr. Scott Miller (University of Montana), Dr. Rex Lowe (U of Wisconsin-Madison), Dr. Josh Stepanek (Colorado Mountain College)
Location: Mountain Research Station and surrounding areas
Dates & Times: July 6th-21st
Credit: no credit
Tuition: no cost to participants, includes housing in shared room cabin and meals while class is in session
Prerequisite:  Introduction to Biology, Evolution or Genetics preferred
