Canvas Studio
Canvas Studio is a new tool (August 2020) supported by OIT that adds built-in video capabilities native to Canvas, including collaboration (commenting on the media timeline) or in-video quizzing.

Kaltura Capture and "My Media"
Kaltura Capture is available in the "My Media" tab in Canvas. It's part of the Kaltura streaming application, thus is fully integrated with Canvas. It offers webcam/screen recording and basic annotation tools. We have produced a complete video training series (listed below). You can also see the detailed user guide from Kaltura.

Kaltura Capture Actions Keyboard Shortcuts
These shortcuts will simplify your recording workflow and managing multiple windows/applications and minimizing/maximizing PowerPoint presentations in Presenter Mode/View.
- Start /Pause/Resume Pause Recording: Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) + Shift + R
- Stop Recording: Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) + Shift + S
- Cancel Recording: Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) + Shift + C
- Go to Management: Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) + Shift + M
- Clear all Notifications: Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) + Shift + E
Personal Capture
My Mediasite now features Personal Capture, an all-in-one creation and delivery platform. Visit OIT's website for detailed information. A few basic links:

Important note: All videos are removed every summer, so plan accordingly!
Zoom
You don't have to use Zoom just for hosting or participating in meetings. You can also use Zoom to record yourself "presenting!" Video recordings can be saved to the cloud or locally on your computer and uploaded to Kaltura. See this short demo.

Screen Recording with QuickTime
On a Mac computer, you can record your screen with QuickTime. Visit Apple's user guide for more information.
Screen Recording on your iPad and iPhone
iPadOS and iOS allows you to record your screen. You can use your iPad with the stylus to record your "handwritten" lectures.
Screencast.com Recorder
Techsmith Screencast now includes a small, yet powerful recorder that can toggle between your screen and webcam. You can easily export recordings as mp4 files and upload them to "My Media" in Canvas. See the official guide and check out a short demonstration video.
