Yahir, a proud native of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, was born and raised in the vibrant Mile High City, with Mexican-American heritage from Torreón, Coahuila, and Vicente Guerrero, Durango. He is currently pursuing dual degrees in Psychology and Public Health, driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact in the healthcare field.
He serves as a Peer Advisor in the Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement, is an active member of the Multicultural Greek Council as a proud brother of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., and contributes as a Student Leader on the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs’ Student Leader Consortium.
Above all, Yahir finds his greatest motivation as a Tio to his three wonderful little nephews and one amazing little niece. Their joy and resilience inspire him every day to continue his journey as a proud First-Generation student, determined to create opportunities for future generations to com.
