Sophia Feghali is a 2022 Boettcher Scholar from Grand Junction, CO, earning a BA in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, and minoring in Leadership Studies and Music, on the pre-medicine track. Currently in her junior year, she is a proud Presidents Leadership Class Scholar and a member of PLC Student Staff’s Bridge Team, where she works to catalyze intra- and interpersonal relationships within PLC, and between PLC and other leadership organizations, on campus and around Colorado. Sophia is an undergraduate researcher and 2024 UROP grant awardee in the Leinwand Lab, a Senior Analyst in Leeds Consulting Group, a member of the CU Boettcher Social and Service Committee, and an Honors Student. In addition to being a pianist of 15 years, she is a children’s book author, a self-proclaimed foodie, enjoys travelling with family and friends to explore new cultures, and learn new languages. Sophia is dedicated to serving underserved and underrepresented communities through medicine and international volunteering, and is excited to continue to do so through leadership as a SLOY Fellow.
