Peter Aweida

Our company owns and manages commercial (primarily industrial) space in Boulder...about 300,000 SF. I went to CU for undergrad (BS Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, 1994) and grad school (MBA Real Estate, 2000) which helped me a lot. I was co-chair of the Cultural Events Board as an undergrad and President of the Arab Student Club. I was born in Beirut and adopted by my parents when I was 3 weeks old. We lived in Philadelphia until I was 4, and I've been in Boulder ever since (1976). I like golf, tennis, running, coffee and beer. Am married with three kids (20, 17, 14) and love to give back to CU, which gave me so much!

CU is so big, it helps to try and find a smaller community within the school (student clubs, Greek system, academic groups). If the work ethic is there, success will find you eventually. We have two ears and one mouth...so we're supposed to listen twice as much as we speak.
