INVST • Class of 2020
Makena was a fourth-year student and is part of the INVST Program. She is originally from Menlo Park, California and is pursuing a degree in Ethnic Studies with a minor in Spanish and a certificate in leadership. Makena is described as being one of the “fiercest and most passionate advocates for eco-social justice and immigrant rights.” Her peers note that she is principled and driven in all of her work and spends every spare moment giving back to those in the communities around her. Makena firmly believes in the power of collective leadership.
