Julia Ingram Fetzer
- Retired Healthcare Executive, Volunteer and Current Franchise Owner of Bitty & Beau's Coffee
I spent 30+ years in the healthcare industry - both on the owner side and on the consulting side. My primary focus went from long-term strategic planning to business planning for hospitals and health systems, to the construction and transition planning for large hospital projects. I like to combine innovative thinking and creative problem-solving with a collaborative approach and roll-up-your-sleeves implementation tactics. Ultimately, I like to help people find a way to reach their goals with realistic timeframes and actions. Our family's recent endeavor has been opening and running a Bitty & Beau's Coffee shop in Boulder, where we have learned a tremendous amount about the food and beverage business and working with the IDD community.
My advice to students...
It is incredibly important to find a job or career where you have a passion for the business you are in. It seems cliché, but you need to love what you do because there are days when you will not like what you do. Finding that balance is important.
