Adam Swetlik

I'm a CU Leeds grad who was the Head Coach of the CU Rowing team for four years. I had an eight year career in marketing at SparkFun Electronics, a local electronics startup. I then went on to serve on the Boulder Housing Advisory Board from 2017-2019 and Boulder City Council from 2019-2021. I am currently the Director of Operations at Bjorn's Colorado Honey, a local honey retailer. We are a 10 million dollar company started from a single Farmer's market stand.

Always try something that will scare you or you feel unprepared for. If you fail at something, you'll learn about what you need to succeed, and if that doesn't fit or feel right, that's one less thing you have to give attention to. There's always a part of professional careers that you have to grind out to make the rest of your future possible, but that sacrifice will be worth it once you figure out how to be fulfilled both in your work and outside of it. Your best experiences are usually the ones you never planned for which is why being open to new opportunities can take you even further than solely focusing on one career goal.
