Open-source releases our building energy models for commercial buildings based on CBECS data
We are excited to open source release our building energy models for commercial buildings based on CBECS data. As an outcome of our 4-year research project supported by ASHRAE, it contains 540 EnergyPlus models for 18 building types, including three new models for Religious Worship, College/University, and Auto Repair Service, 2 vintages (pre-1980 and post-1980), and 15 climate zones. This is a joint effort of my students Yunyang Ye, Yingli Lou, Yizhi Yang, Matthew Strong, and Satish Upadhyayaat University of Colorado Boulder, and Professor Gang Wang at University of Miami with the support of our PMS members ( Chris Balbach, Dru Crawley, Michael Deru, Charles Eley, Dan Nall, and Terry Sharp) and many other colleagues in the energy modeling community.
