For over 60 seasons, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival has delighted audiences with classic theatre under the stars.

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival is a professional theatre company in association with the University of Colorado Boulder. Since 1958, the festival has celebrated and explored Shakespeare and his continuing influence and vitality through productions of superior artistic quality, education and community engagement.

Jul 5-28: Handstands & Mobility Class

Join the Rec Center for a 4-week training course to improve overall mobility and your capacity to shift between your hands and feet. This course will emphasize a strong connection with your core, building strength and flexibility and improving mobility.

Jul 5-26: Paddleboard Yoga

Take your yoga off the mat and into the pool! This class will help improve your balance, core strength and inner awareness. Please wear a modest bathing suit or clothing appropriate for the pool. All participants should be comfortable in deep water.

Jul 6-27: Strong Start: Strength Training Course

Join the Rec Center for their introductory strength training course, Strong Start. Each class will start with a dynamic warmup, followed by barbell training, weight lifting and a cool down.

This course includes a complimentary in-body assessment for participants to learn more about their body composition and fitness level. All abilities and levels welcome.

Jul 6-27: Cardio Kickboxing

Experience 45-minutes of stress relieving, sweat producing action. This new cardio kickboxing class incorporates HIIT and basic bag drills. Feel your heart rate climb, your mental focus sharpen and your confidence soar.

Mobile Food Pantry Graphic

Jul 7: Mobile Food Pantry

The mobile food pantry is free and open to CU Boulder students, faculty and staff as well as community members of Boulder and Broomfield Counties. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will receive up to 30 pounds of food in multiple boxes. Clients may either walk up to our tent in the lot, or drive up through the Kittridge Loop.

Jul 8-Aug 5: Powerlifting Class

Join a Certified Personal Trainer for this 5-week intensive course that will teach you proper form and progression for powerlifting movements, including squat, deadlift and bench press. All levels welcome, no experience required.

Jul 12, 19, 26 & Aug 2, 9, 16: Mindfulness in Everyday Life

This series is intended for any CU Boulder staff or faculty member who wants to learn more about mindfulness techniques and manage stress in everyday life. Attendees will learn and practice several strategies for cultivating a mindfulness practice in the areas of the body, the emotions, the mind, and relationships. Practices will include mindfulness, meditation, cognitive restructuring, emotional awareness and regulation, communication, and movement.

Jul 14: Ahimsa Flow & Pranayama Yoga

In this class, we will move through a gentle yin yoga flow aimed our strengthening our embodied self-compassion, while melting away thoughts and feelings of hatred that we so often direct inwards. And we will incorporate Pranayama, or breathing practices, throughout the class that will support self-love and cleanse away thoughts and feelings of self-harm.

This class is free to all Rec Center members.

This six-hour course covers everything from burns and broken bones to choking and heart attacks. This course also includes adult, infant and junior CPR and AED training.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) in partnership with GradCO alliance invites postdocs and graduate students to learn about the process for successful proposal development.

The workshop will focus on best practices for writing a quality grant proposal for potential funders. Jim Mazzouccolo, Proposal Editor and Writing Coach for the Research & Innovation Office (RIO), will discuss key steps, including reviewing funder guidelines and requirements, project planning, writing, editing and proofreading.
