I am interested in how Southern Ocean fisheries can be best understood and managed. My interdisciplinary project analyzes the Antarctic toothfish and its life history parameters to better inform international fisheries and management.
The Antarctic Toothfish spurs one of the world’s most remote international fisheries. Using their otoliths (ear stones) I look at life history traits of different toothfish populations all around the waters of Antarctica and how their populations may be migrating and connecting to one another.
