I am a plant community ecologist with strong focus on remote sensing techniques, and keen interest in understanding vegetation dynamics.

During my PhD I investigated the potential of hyperspectral remote sensing for retrieving functional traits in grasslands, and obtaining insights into processes mediating plant invasion impacts. As my thesis built on interdisciplinary research that aims to bridge the remote sensing and plant ecology research communities, I have experience with collecting and analyzing both ecological data on species composition, species traits and ecosystem functioning, and hyperspectral hand-held and airborne data.

During my postdoc at CU, I will study the role of biodiversity for rangeland resilience by means of airborne and satellite imagery.
