Joshua Lewis

 Advisor: Professor Lim • Joshua Lewis is an MA student specializing in modern Korean history, focusing on the Republic of Korea's political and socio-economic development, democratization, and international affairs. His previous research concentrated on South Korea's participation in the Vietnam War, exploring the motivations behind its involvement, the consequences it had at home, as well as the conduct of South Korean forces during the conflict. Joshua graduated from University College London (UCL) in 2024 with a BA in History and Politics, earning a First Class. At UCL, he also studied Latin American history, US history, and US foreign policy. Beyond academia, Joshua enjoys hiking, gaming and reading, and is an avid moviegoer.
