Advisor: Professor Dauverd • Augusto earned his undergraduate teaching license in History in 2017 and his bachelor's degree in History in 2020 from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He holds a specialization in Higher Education Teaching from Faculdades QI (2019). He completed his first master's degree in history in 2021 at the Federal University of Santa Maria, within the research field of History, Power, and Culture (Francisco de Paula Souza de Mendonça Júnior, Ph.D.). His second master's degree, focused on Political History, was completed at the State University of Maringá in 2022 (Francisco César Alves Ferraz, Ph.D.). Between 2021 and 2022, he worked as an instructor at the Ritter dos Reis University Center (UniRitter) in Porto Alegre, where he taught courses in History as well as International Affairs and Design. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado Boulder under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Celine Dauverd. His doctoral research focuses on pre-modern European history, examining the transnational relations between Jewish-Portuguese communities in Northern Europe (the Dutch Republic, England, and Hamburg) and the Atlantic conflicts within the Iberian Empires. His work pays particular attention to the Dutch Brazilian experience (1630–1654) in the context of early modern Europe.
