On campus testing is open to all CU Boulder undergraduate students and graduate students through Wardenburg. Asymptomatic faculty and staff may be eligible for on campus testing based on certain criteria. Symptomatic faculty and staff are not eligible to be seen at Wardenburg and should schedule an appointment with their personal medical provider. Community testing sites are also available throughout the state.

COVID-19 Testing at Wardenburg

Appointments are required to receive a COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test at Wardenburg. If you do not have an appointment scheduled in advance, you will not be eligible for testing. Appointments are available online, through your MyCUHealth portal or by calling 303-492-5432.

If you need a PCR test for travel before Monday, you must test Friday morning.

Should I get a COVID Test at Wardenburg?

I have symptoms of COVID-19

The CDC recommends that anyone with any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 get tested, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection. If a person gets tested because they have symptoms or were potentially exposed to the virus, they should wear a mask in public and maintain a minimum of 6 feet of distance from others pending test results.

Students experiencing COVID-19 symptoms can schedule a COVID telehealth or in-person appointment online through the MyCUHealth portal or by calling 303-492-5432. Appropriate testing will be ordered and completed through this appointment.

I do not have symptoms of COVID-19

Asymptomatic students, faculty and staff that meet any one of the following criteria can schedule a COVID test online through the MyCUHealth Portal or by calling 303-492-5432:

  1. You have had close contact (within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24 hour period) with someone with confirmed COVID-19.
    • ​​Fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after the exposure. It is recommended that you wear a mask in public for 14 days after a known exposure or until you have a negative test result. Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days after known exposure.
    • Unvaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after the exposure. It is recommended that you wear a mask in public for 14 days after a known exposure or until you have a negative test result. Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days after known exposure.
  2. You are unvaccinated and have taken part in activities that put you at higher risk for COVID-19 because you could not physically distance as needed to avoid exposure, such as travel, attending large social or mass gatherings or being in crowded or poorly ventilated indoor settings.
  3. Pre-travel testing as required by the carrier or destination. Testing results can be accessed by MyCUHealth portal.

Do I need to get tested if I’ve had COVID-19?

People who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 3 months and recovered do not need to get tested following an exposure as long as they do not develop new symptoms.
