Dear Addie: I'm kind of bored
Dear Addie: "I'm kind of bored. I don't really have any tests in the next couple of weeks so I'm not really sure what to do with my free time - any advice?" - Bored Ben
Hi Ben: It sounds to me like your free-time is lacking activities! Here are some suggestions from the great world of CU Boulder:
- Study even when you don't feel like you need to... it seems silly, I know. But taking a look back at notes from class and ahead to what's coming up on your syllabus, is a great use of time. You'll thank me later when you are binging a Netflix show instead of cramming right before your next big exam.
- Find your people. Cruise through Buff Connect to find a student group or club that fits you and your interests. Maybe climb a mountain with the Hiking Club or try out your improv stage skills with Late Notice. The list is endless, so go get lost in it!
- Build your resume. Gain leadership experience that will set you apart (you will want to be shiny when it's time to apply for jobs after graduation). Apply to be a Journey Leader for fall 2020 and lead like Ralphie as one of the bright faces new students see when they arrive on campus in August.
- Get your active on! Take advantage of your Rec Center pass by checking out the fabulous facilities on main campus and over in William's Village. In my opinion, it's hard to be bored while crunching, running and flexing muscles.
Long story short, get out there and do it. I believe in you!

In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog Odin, watching all the medical drama TV shows that exist and going on trips to Target.
