Stephanie is a Todd Gleeson BBC Scholar. Her magna cum laude thesis in Integrative Physiology was "The Effects of Zinc Availability on the Cell Cycle and Proliferation in MCF-7 and T-47D Breast Cancer Cells."

Best Opportunity at CU: Being able to be a charter for a new multicultural sorority, Kappa Delta Chi, which has helped the BIPOC community establish a bigger space on campus.

How has the BBC scholarship has helped: It has been a relief not having to worry on how to pay for school, especially since I have been the only one fronting the costs for the past three years.

Future plans: I plan on taking a gap year after graduation for the medical school application cycle and eventually getting my M.D. I am very interested in becoming a cardiologist.
