The best opportunity for me at CU has been the possibility of going here. My parents could not provide this continued education for me, so all the help I am receiving from everyone around me and supporters have allowed me to pursue education and even be here in the first place.
COVID-19 changed school for me only slightly as I enjoy having some classes online. However, it has disrupted my Ceramic practices due to smaller class sizes (less availability) and the changes to remote learning or in person.
This scholarship has helped me in so many ways, by providing a community of people similar to me as well as the opportunity for this education, and mentors that can help if needed.
I plan to continue studying to eventually become a Ceramic artist or possibly a translator and just see where the future takes me.
