Perry H.
Major: Integrative Physiology
Spring 2021

Hi my name is Perry Hayman and I am a senior at CU majoring in integrative physiology. I am looking forward to graduating in the spring of this year. The Buffalo Bicycle Classic Scholarship has made a huge impact on my college experience for a multitude of reasons including taking my focus off of financial worries and shifting it towards getting involved on campus. Because of this, I was able to work in the Recreation Injury Care Center (RICC) as a student intern, be the executive officer of American Medical Women’s Association on campus, and volunteer time in the Stress Physiology Lab where we are currently researching epilepsy. In addition, the BBC community has supported me in my studies all four years of my undergrad and showed me how lucky I am to be part of this community of generous people. Though COVID-19 has shifted all my classes online, I am grateful for all the opportunities I still get to attend and contribute my time towards in a hands-on manner like the lab and the RICC. I plan on taking the MCAT following graduation and applying for medical school in the next two years. I just want to say a huge thank you to the BBC community for creating these opportunities for me and helping me get one step closer to the career of my dreams!
